Blu-ray passed HD-DVD in sales for the first time ever on Dec. 2006.
So far it has widened that lead and is now outselling HD-DVD more than 2:1.

I'd give HD-DVD 9 more months until it falls out completely.
I own both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
The reason I defend the PS3 so much is because fanboys bash it 24/7 in this site.
If people bashed the Xbox 360 I would defend it as well.
MS and Nintendo did this as well. But when Sony does it the Xbox fanboys go crazy saying Bull$hit.
There are way to many fanboys in this site who don't have a clue what they're talking about.
I gave you positive feedback for that comment. :)
I was comparing launch figures.
The xbox 360 has more games so it would be expected to outsell the PS3 at Christmas time.
Also you forgot to mention that the PS3 had shortages while the xbox 360 could be found anywhere.
If you want a fair comparison of U.S sales you need to compare launch figures, for that look at post (2.7)
Its just in the U.S otherwise these numbers would look a lot different ;)
Your last bubble is wasted, you will not be missed.
But just for fun!
Dec 05:
Xbox 360 (with no competion): 303,500
Dec 06:
PS3 (with full competion and tons of bad press): 537,750
To an extent. The Wii will probably lose its steam by years end. If it doesn't it may very well end up being #1.
I like both the PS3 and xbox 360 equally.
The reason I defend the PS3 so much is because people in this site bash it too much.
If they were bashing the xbox 360 a lot I would defend it as well.
MS needs a price cut ASAP if they wants to keep they're #1 position. Otherwise the Wii will jump to #1!
I own an xbox 360 premium since launch day as well as a PS3 so calling me a fanboy proves your stupidity.
Don't come to this site spewing all you anger, you will never accept the fact that the Xbox 360 continues to be outsold by the Wii on a monthly basis 2:1 in the USA, where the xbox 360 should be #1. Even the PS3 is close to outselling the xbox 360 even though it has (according to xbox fanatics) barely any good games.
The PS3 has been getting tons of bad press...
The core unit sucks.
Take my advice and DO NOT BUY IT!
If you want an xbox 360 get a Premium unit its only $100 more and includes a hardrive which is necessary for backwards comp. and xbox live.
If you buy the core unit you're really just getting the worse deal.
Your twisting up the facts, a practice that only desperate fanboys do.
The PS3 needs to beat the Xbox 360 first not the Wii. Why? Because the Wii is outselling the xbox 360 2:1 on a monthly basis.
The sales gap between the xbox 360 and PS3 is small, only about 50,000 this month.
Once PS3 gets better games out that sales gap will diminish and the PS3 will have to take down the Wii next.
BTW: Nasty Nas learn how to spell you sound like...
Are you high? Or just drunk?
You claim the PS3 fans are desperate but your comment reaks of desperation.
Another fanboy on this site...what a surprise.
I stopped right there.
I don't believe anything these guys say.
People are so quick to judge the PS3 when it has only launched in 2 countries vs xbox 360's 37 countries.
I think PS3 is doing good considering all the bad press its receiving.
The fanboys again, twisting everything up.
Fact is they both look almost identical.
This g@y story got approved but my Killzone vs Halo 3 feature story didn't?

WHY???
I always keep an open mind. But in this case the evidence is overwhelming.
PS3 has a ton of dev support where as HD-DVD doesn't.
P.S: I edited my comment so it doesn't sound as rude to the few hopefuls who still think HD-DVD has a chance.
Sorry If my statement appeared arrogant to you. But at least it was true.
BTW: Universal is showing signs of supporting Blu-ray.
Microsoft is supporting HD-DVD simply because they don't want to support Sony's Format.
And Toshiba is supporting it only because they created it.
Everyone else is backing Blu-ray.
Cause last time I checked the PS3 is outselling the xbox 360 in Japan every day by a 5:1 margin.
I'm just keeping it real Marty ;)
